That is where we missed the plot. Political power without mental freedom has us no where we should be 26 years on. There is no shortcut to Liberation. We thought liberation was about the ballot. In reality it is about unshackling the mind. If we really believed that we are of equal worth as Black Africans, would our country be in the dire straits that we are in? Still fronting for or being fronted by foreigners? Depending on foreign capital just to get our country working. Not producing enough Engineers, Scientist, Computer skills and all the skills known and unknown that will drive the 21st century? Killing and bastardising each other for money and political positions? Working, supporting, sponsoring, attending and championing the initiatives and businesses of any other race, except our own Black people?\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Look at the owners of the businesses you support. The receipts of where your money goes to. Yeah. We justify many things. Thus the next Generation is not going to be better off than we are. Material gain is not progress, especially when you are the consumer, not the producer. And go and live outside of South Africa and see if being Black African is the race to be. Or are you always feeling like a second class citizen?\u00a0
As long as an African Black is still seen as the bottom of the totem pole, affording the luxury brands without being the producers of those brands and liberating the mind. It is no progress at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh. Crying for my people on this Day. Biko, you did your part. It is all in our Minds and Hearts to want a different world for the Black African. It is in ourselves to do. Many of our decisions, behaviours and actions since 1994 have shown that we are not very confident that we are not Inferior. Ask other races when they are not threatened by labels of racism. Do they really see us as Equal?\u00a0 Are we behaving like we know we are Equal? Or are we just giving the bravado that we are Equal and in charge of our own lives? Black (wo)man you are on your own.
