Smart leaders know what they don’t know. Learning is a constant process throughout your professional life, and it doesn’t stop.

If my first engagement for 2019 sets the tone, I will be the most fulfilled and energised business person this year! My client Masa Risk Advisory asked me to come and work with them. To ready them for the year and beyond.
What positional smart leaders know, is that their burden and role is made lighter and easier, when everyone in the organisation, regardless of level, takes ownership and leadership for not only their own work, but the effectiveness of their colleagues and managers.
Many people love quoting “The Leader Who Had No Title” by Robin Sharma. But in practice they are still acting with an ego of a positional leader or deferring leadership to those “above” them. My work in Personal Leadership is to put onus on every individual, regardless of position, to lead themselves. After all, “I Am My Own Best Leader”. If I can’t lead myself, I will always point fingers at others. Blame others. Never take responsibility.
Life does not owe us anything. Unfortunately, we have had enough corporate scandals and corruption allegations in diverse organisations – both public and private sectors. When will we learn! You can’t abdicate leadership of your life to anybody else.
Leadership to me is “The ability to direct, shape and influence into the future a new and unknown reality”. – Dudu Msomi
Isn’t that what we do every day. From the second we wake up?
